Riverfront Living
During World War II, Chatham County's port in Georgia played a crucial role in shipping out vast amounts of war supplies. Local industries produced various military equipment, while Hunter Field trained thousands of airmen. The community commemorates wartime events through historical markers, monuments, and annual memorial events, including the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force.
A picturesque riverfront community, Chatham County is the 5th oldest county in Georgia and the largest county outside of the Atlanta metropolitan area. This beautiful community contains the beautiful city of Savannah and has three crystal clear miles of uninterrupted public beach at Tybee Island.
