Travel Time
It’s time for vacation. It is very busy this time of year with everyone traveling and some of us will bring home the worst souvenir ever, the dreaded bedbug. One of the simplest things you can do to avoid this problem is to take a flashlight with you. Do an inspection in your hotel room (or wherever you are staying) before you even bring your personal items into the room. Check the mattresses and foundations well for bugs or rust colored spots. Look in the cracks and crevices of the headboard and bed frame. Ask about their bedbug protocol and what they do to prevent problems. Once you return home from your trip, immediately launder and dry your clothing. You can place your luggage in large black trash bags, tie them up and place them in the sun outside for a day. The heat in the bag should kill anything you may have brought back home with you. But the best weapon you have is just a good flashlight.
